After Durtal, the second Oreve ultra-fast public recharging station for professionals and private individuals was inaugurated in Avoine (Indre-et-Loire) on 5 December 2024 in the presence of Mr Jean Luc Dupont – Mayor of Chinon and President of the Community of Communes, Mr Denis Moutardier – Mayor of Huismes and Vice-President responsible for daily transport, Mr Didier Godoy – Mayor of Avoine and Vice-President responsible for economic development and mobility within the Community of Communes of Chinon Vienne et Loire.
The Oreve station in Avoine is designed and operated by Obornes, the Ortec Group’s electric mobility infrastructure subsidiary, to meet the needs of companies and managers of professional fleets and local authorities in the vicinity of Low Emission Mobility Zones (ZFE-m).
It is made up of six IRVE (Infrastructure de Recharge de Véhicule Électrique) charging stations, each with a capacity of 360 kW, for a total of 12 charging points. The site is designed to keep traffic flowing by providing charging points identified according to vehicle category: light, commercial and heavy goods vehicles. The site is open 24/7 to both business and private users, and offers a range of services to keep users comfortable while they charge their vehicles (relaxation area, free Wi-Fi, drinks dispenser and toilets).
The Oreve app, which is available on iOS and Android, offers a range of practical functions, including locating stations, checking the availability of charging points and starting the charging process.
With a target of 260 stations in France by 2030, the Oreve network is helping individuals, businesses and local authorities to develop their fleets of electric vehicles and reduce their carbon footprint.
